2Cellos Live in Manila

Croatian cellists: Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, also known as 2CELLOS will be performing at the Resorts World Manila's Newport Performing Arts Theater for the first time this January 2012.

2Cellos is currently signed to record label Sony Masterworks and finished recording their first album in May 2011, which will carry the Menart Records name in Croatia. Released on July 19, 2011, the album includes covers of songs by U2, Guns N' Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Sting, Coldplay, Nirvana, Muse, and Kings of Leon. Hauser told la Repubblica that the album would also feature a cello version of Jackson's "Human Nature." The duo said that they chose songs that could be adapted into covers playable on only two cellos. In anticipation of the release, 2Cellos released their second single "Welcome to the Jungle," a cover of the Guns N' Roses song of the same name.

Before The Greatest Hits Tour: A1, Jeff Timmons And Blue comes to town on February 25, 2011 to perform at the Smart- Araneta Coliseum get your feet wet with some nice tidbits about the bands. We've also included a quick catch-up session about these three iconic performers who've definitely made the '90s memorable for all us. To make it even more fun we'll space our stories per day. A1:

1) They are a  British-Norweigan boyband currently made up of Mark Read, Ben Adams and Christian Ingebrigstein. Their claim to fame?  Eight top 10 singles including Take On Me and Same Old Brand New You as well as three Top 20 albums  between the years of 1999 and 2002. Within six months after their debut, they shot up to number six in the UK charts with the single  Be The First To Believe. After just a few months, they climbed a notch higher with another single  Summertime Of Our Lives which was followed by more hit singles  Everytime/Ready Or Not, Like A Rose, and a remake of the '80s  classic, Take On Me.



2) What they think sets them apart from other boybands? Christian has said in previous interviews it was their rigid musical training and their impressive songwriting skills. Mark plays the piano whole Ben plays the piano violin and oboe while Christian plays the piano, guitar, some flute and violin

3) Where did their name come from? According to the lads it was their manager who came in one day and threw the name to them which they liked immediately.

4) Last November 18, 2011 they released another single a Christmas/New Year song called "Another Year Gone" firing up rumors of a comeback.

5) The boys talk about unusual gifts from fans: according to Mark when they visited Japan they were given gifts like massage kits and accupunture needles. Ben talks about the time when fans would sneak into their hotel rooms and even rip out their hair! (ouch) So far they havent received any weird stuff from the Filipinos just a whole lotta love!

As an artist who needs no introduction, Brian McKnight has earned himself a spot in contemporary music history. He has released 13 albums to date, with several going 2 and 3x-platinum, and he has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.  In addition to being a singer, songwriter and producer, McKnight is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays nine instruments including piano, guitar, bass, drums, percussions, trombone, tuba, flugelhorn and trumpet.

He has crossed the boundaries of EVERY medium. He has hosted “Soul Session Countdown with Brian McKnight” on BETJ. In addition, “The Brian McKnight Morning Show” on KTWV the Wave Smooth Jazz radio station, was a Top 5 rated show 2 years running. In 2009 Brian started hosting his own radio show “The Brian McKnight Show” which ran in over 60 markets and was syndicated through ABC Radio. Brian also hosted his own nationally syndicated TV show “The Brian McKnight Show”.

McKnight has also used his vast industry knowledge as a red carpet host for Extra! and in 2007, McKnight stepped into Broadway with a successful run as Billy Flynn in Chicago. He was also a contestant on the Donald Trump hit show “Celebrity Apprentice” and is currently touring nationwide in the JeCaryous Johnson play “Cheaper to Keep Her” with Vivica A. Fox.

2011 will see the release of McKnight’s 14th album, entitled “Just Me” along with a worldwide tour and live DVD.
